The Pre-Summit is a smart way to maximize your Summit experience with deeper dives into practical content you can take home for better investing.  The Innovation Office Hours - in which you can meet with corporate representatives about your portfolio companies - is available for all angel attendees at no cost. Pre-Summit programs include:

Angel Investing Overview (Seminar)
8:00 am - 4:15 pm

Are you new to angel investing or looking to "tune up" your investment skills? Or are you interested in finding an educational program that will help recruit new investors to your angel organization or keep current members motivated? This program is for both of you. This full-day seminar provides a comprehensive overview of the angel investing process, including the details of finding, evaluating, and structuring deals and developing angel-entrepreneur relationships that lead to success. The highly interactive program provides attendees with practical information on best practices in angel investing through a balance of expert presentations, panel discussions, and small group case studies. A faculty of experienced angel investors, serial entrepreneurs, and expert service providers delivers the seminar. Originally developed by angels and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, this seminar receives the highest marks of satisfaction by attendees. More than a few sophisticated angels have said they wish they had taken it earlier so they could have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Women Investors: The Nuts, Bolts, and More about Financials and Capitalization Tables (Workshop)
12:45 pm - 4:15 pm

So often we hear one of the big reasons women (and men) shy away from angel investing is the often-daunting nature of financials statements and projections. Well, fear no longer. This half-day source will provide you with a comfortable environment to ask any question, raise any confusion, and walk away feeling confident about your new skill of reading and understanding financials. In addition, the program will go over capitalization tables, including calculating dilution to answer the eternal question: How much will I likely own when the exit comes? We will have discussions and interactive exercises making for an intensive but fun (yes, financials can be fun) session. This presentation will emphasize some of the issues unique to women investors, but is open to both women and men to participate.  Sponsored by The Mueller Law Office.

ACA International Exchange Workshop
