Affinity Dinners

One of the main reasons to come to an ACA Summit is to network with new peers and old friends. In past years informal "affinity dinners" have been a popular way to meet your colleagues and have more in-depth discussions. This year, ACA has decided to bring more attention to these dinners so that everyone can participate as much as they like. These dinners, held in a "dine around" fashion in restaurants close to the hotel, will be held after the networking receptions on Wednesday, May 5th, and Thursday, May 6th.

The only rules related to the dinners are these:

  • The costs of food and beverage are "on your own". In some cases, each person will pay the restaurants, and in other cases, ACA will assist in collecting fees via a registration process closer to the Summit dates.
  • You will sign up in advance for the dinners. There are two opportunities to sign-up: 1) indicate your level of interest in participating as part of the regular Summit registration, and 2) formally register in April via a final registration process that also includes more information about the restaurants and the topic opportunities.

We have a preliminary list of restaurants for the dinners, and will work with someone to lead each dinner and select the appropriate restaurant. Registrants will receive a card with details of their dinners when they check in for general registration. The following dinners are planned:

  • Midwest (Great Lakes and Great Plains)
  • Mid-Atlantic
  • New England/ New York
  • Southeast
  • Southwest
  • Texas
  • International
