Dinners & Activities during the Leaders Workshop

The 2012 Leaders Workshop offers several opportunities for attendees to network with each other, learn what's happening in Pittsburgh, and (in the case of some dinners) have some great food.

Technology Showcase and Reception (October 3, 4-7 pm)

Come to Pittsburgh early to see innovations ready to grow. You are invited to attend the reception of the University of Pittsburgh Technology Showcase: TRANSLATION SCIENCE 2012, featuring 12 innovations ready for commercialization. There is no fee for ACA members, but please register in advance for the reception.

Special Dinners (October 4, immediately after ACA Reception)

• NETWORKING AND DEALFLOW DINNER - Please join BlueTree Allied Angels and Innovation Works at Nine on Nine, one of Pittsburgh's fine restaurants in the Cultural District. What better way to see our host city than courtesy of the two groups closest to Pittsburgh's most promising startups. Space is limited to the first 25 investors to sign up.

• LIFE SCIENCE DINNER - Interested member attendees are invited to a hosted dinner to share ideas and information. The dinner is sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh Office of Enterprise Development and the Pittsburgh Life Sciences Greenhouse. The dinner will be held at McCormick & Schmick's and registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis.

• CLEANTECH DINNER - All member attendees are invited to a pay-as-you-go dinner. Part of the members-only event will include syndication opportunities in the sector. Nominations for cleantech companies for syndication can be done through the Cleantech Deals page. The dinner will be held at Vallozzi's Pittsburgh.

• PUBLIC POLICY DINNER - Interested in discussing public policy issues that affect American angels? If so, please join this pay-as-you-go dinner. This dinner will be held at Nine on Nine one of Pittsburgh's fine restaurants in the Cultural District.

ACA members may indicate interest in attending any of these dinners on the detailed Leaders Workshop registration page. We'll provide a list of restaurants available to attendees interested in informal dinners with colleagues.
