- NOTE: THE OCTOBER 5TH PROGRAM IS SOLD OUT ON-LINE. WE WILL TAKE A FEW REGISTRATIONS ON-SITE.

The fourth annual ACA Leaders Workshop is set for chairmen, managers, and other active leaders of ACA member angel groups. The agenda includes a few topics not covered in any other ACA event.

The event starts with a networking reception on October 4th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and the workshop will be held on October 5th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Angel Resource Institute will present two concurrent seminars - "Early Exits" and "How to be the Brightest Bulb in the Boardroom" - 1:00 - 5:00 pm October 4th, and ACA members are welcome to register for those programs as well.

AGENDA

The updated detailed agenda includes content aimed at angel group chairmen, managers, and other active leaders of ACA member groups. Any member of an ACA organization is welcome! Sessions on October 5th include:

  • How the JOBS Act Affects Angel Investors (Crowdfunding - but Other Parts Might be More Important)
  • New Opportunities for Angel Liquidity and Secondary Markets (Also from the JOBS Act)

  • Using New Sources of Deal Flow - Meetups, Accelerators, Crowdfunding...

  • Exit Package for Attendees to Take Home to their Groups
  • Investment Breakouts for Life Sciences and Cleantech

The reception on the evening of October 4th will be held at the Fairmont Hotel, next door to Reed Smith (510 Market St).

ACCOMODATIONS AND TRAVEL:

ACA has arranged for discounted hotel guest rooms at the Fairmont Pittsburgh Hotel. Rooms are available for $219 per night at on the nights of October 3 and 4. To reserve your room at the Fairmont, register via a special Web site or call the reservations department at 800-441-1414 and mention the ACA room block. The room block expires September 10, 2012, so call at your earliest convenience.
